In Russia, changes on maternity capital and mortgages will come into force on February 1.

Since February 1, changes to more than 40 social benefits and allowances, in particular for maternity capital, will come into force in Russia, as well as the conditions for a family mortgage. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

The amount of maternity capital will be increased to 728.9 thousand rubles for the first child and 234.3 thousand rubles for the second. They will also increase the amount of benefits for the birth or adoption of a child for caring for him up to 1.5 years for non-working parents, monthly cash payments to women with the title of "Heroine Mother".

The conditions for obtaining a family mortgage will also change. Now the spouses will be required to be co-borrowers, and in case of lack of income, they can attract third parties to obtain a loan. At the same time, it will be possible to take out only one loan per family.
