- The commander of the Ukrainian Navy was arrested in absentia in the case of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge.
A Moscow court has arrested Alexei Neizhpapa, commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), in absentia in the case of the bombing of the Crimean Bridge on July 17, 2023. This was confirmed on February 1 by the relevant documents, which were reviewed by TASS.
"A non—pope, a citizen of Ukraine, accused of committing a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"), has been given a preventive measure in the form of detention," the documents say.
It is noted that the commander of the Ukrainian Navy was put on the international wanted list back in May 2022 for involvement in organizing an attack on the life of an employee involved in law enforcement agencies.
