At least 14 people were killed in an accident in Côte d'Ivoire.

At least 14 people were killed and 21 others injured in the accident in the Kabadougou region of Côte d'Ivoire. This was announced on January 31 in the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs of the country.

"A fatal traffic accident has occurred on the Madinani-Segelon road in the Kabadougou region. The accident involved a truck that, in addition to grain, was illegally transporting 69 passengers. According to preliminary data, 14 people were killed and 21 people were injured," reads a Facebook post (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).

The Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

He also instructed the staff of the Kabadougou Regional Transport Department to immediately go to the scene to collect initial information about the circumstances of this tragedy and send an investigation team to the scene to establish the technical and administrative causes of the accident.
