Kiev is preparing to hold a meeting with the American side during the coming week. This was announced on Saturday evening, January 31, by President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

"We are constantly communicating with the American side, we expect specifics from them about further meetings. Ukraine is ready to work <...> in all working formats, the main thing is that there should be results and we look forward to meetings next week," he said in his video message, the recording of which was posted on the Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian leader clarified that his country's negotiating team is currently preparing for potential contacts with U.S. representatives.

The head of the White House, Donald Trump, had once again announced a day earlier that the parties were approaching an agreement on Ukraine. On the same day, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, called on Kiev and its European allies to support the peace plan proposed by Washington.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on January 28 that negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict in Abu Dhabi would continue on February 1.
