Artillery crews of the D-30 guns of the Vostok group of forces destroyed the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on February 1 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, calculations of reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the troops of the unmanned systems (UAVs) of the Vostok group of forces found firing points and shelters of Ukrainian militants in the forest area, which they use to monitor the approaches to the settlement. The coordinates of the enemy targets were promptly transferred to the calculations of the D-30 guns.

It is specified that after receiving the intelligence, the gunners carried out targeted targeting and carried out a series of precise strikes on enemy positions with high-explosive shells. The Ministry of Defense reported that as a result of the fire action, enemy strongholds and personnel were destroyed, which reduced the defensive potential of the enemy in this area.

On January 31, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the calculation of the Msta-S self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) of the Vostok group of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed a network of fortified structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region. The ministry clarified that the calculations of the reconnaissance UAVs of the BPS troops had calculated the location of the network of extensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the forest belt. The enemy moved personnel between shelters and firing positions, trying to strengthen the defense and hold the line using pre-prepared structures.
