Cloudy, light snow, moderate in places — such weather awaits residents of the capital region on Sunday, February 1. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in Moscow will range from -16 to -18 degrees during the day. At night, the thermometer will drop to -22.

In the Moscow region, it will be from -16 to -22 degrees during the day, and at night the temperature may drop to -25.

A northerly and northwesterly wind with a speed of 4-10 m/s is expected.

Atmospheric pressure will range from 744 to 747 mmHg.

On January 31, Deputy Mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin, Pyotr Biryukov, reported that due to the onset of frost, batteries in the apartments of the capital began to heat up more. He specified that the district heating system operates according to a flexible algorithm: technological modes are adjusted depending on the outside temperature.
