During the special military operation of the Guard, Private Ilya Zharikov destroyed a mine-explosive barrier using an FPV drone, which secured the passage for assault groups. This was announced on February 1 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

During the offensive, when the assault group faced an ambush from enemy mine-explosive barriers, Zharikov, being an operator of unmanned systems, took the initiative. Realizing that waiting for the sappers could disrupt the capture of a strategically important height, he decided to act on his own. After waiting for the group to retreat to a safe distance, the guard private successfully eliminated the obstacle with the help of an FPV drone. His decisive and precise actions allowed the assault group to continue the offensive and occupy a commanding height without losses.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the decisive actions of the guard of Junior Sergeant Vladislav Khramtsov, who, with the help of a Hyacinth-S howitzer, destroyed an ammunition depot, a stronghold and more than 10 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), while under artillery fire.

During the special operation, Khramtsov, who holds the position of a driver of a howitzer self-propelled artillery battalion, demonstrates high professionalism in destroying the enemy. In one episode, his consolidated fire crew of the Hyacinth-S self-propelled howitzer artillery unit was ordered to destroy ammunition depots and suppress a stronghold of Ukrainian militants in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

Under the enemy artillery fire, the junior sergeant of the Guards showed exceptional composure, continuing to accurately adjust the fire. Thanks to his skilful command, the crew successfully coped with the task and left the area of fire without loss.

After warning his comrades, Khakirov began to clear mines. After professionally carrying out the work in a short time, the private defused the explosive device, and the group continued the route.
