Five people died as a result of a fire in a private sauna in the city of Prokopyevsk in the Kemerovo region. Presumably, they are all teenagers aged 16-17 years. This was announced on January 31 in the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"The fire occurred in the city of Prokopyevsk, on Kubanskaya Street, in a private sauna. According to preliminary data, five people died as a result of the fire, presumably teenagers," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that one girl managed to run out of the building, one or two more people are missing. The sauna administrator said that there may be people inside. The fire alarm was received at 20:22, emergency services continue to work at the site.

According to the agency, there were six people inside, and Sofia F. survived. — she managed to get out of the burning building.

The fire area is 70 square meters, 26 specialists and five pieces of equipment are working on site.

It is noted that on March 4, 2025, a fire had already occurred in the same sauna. The causes of the new fire are being established. The Prokopyevsk Prosecutor's office has organized an inspection.
