Nvidia has confirmed its participation in financing the American artificial intelligence product development company OpenAI, but the investment amount will be less than $100 billion. This was reported by Bloomberg on January 31.

CEO of Nvidia Corp. Jensen Huang declined to disclose the exact size of the investment, but said that participating in the round is a "great investment" and probably the largest in the company's history.

At the same time, the head of the chipmaker directly confirmed that the amount would not be comparable to the previously announced $100 billion — Nvidia is not going to adhere to this figure, which was mentioned at the announcement of the strategic partnership with OpenAI in September 2025.

On January 30, Reuters learned about China's approval of the purchase of Nvidia H200 chips by Deepseek. Despite strong demand from Chinese companies and approval of exports from the United States, Beijing's reluctance to allow imports has become a major obstacle to supply.
