Milorad Dodik negatively characterized Zelensky and his entourage
On January 31, former leader of the Serbian Republic Milorad Dodik said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his inner circle in the Donbas with the Russian population are occupiers.
"No, it was not Russia that attacked and occupied the territories. This is Zelensky and his entourage. They occupied the Russians in the region of Ukraine where people wanted to live in brotherhood," Dodik said on the Rossiya—24 TV channel.
According to him, achieving peace with Russia fully corresponded to the interests of Ukraine itself, but this was not part of the plans of the European Union. Dodik noted that Western countries pursued other goals unrelated to a peaceful settlement.
He also stressed that Europe wanted to test Russia's potential in practice and "find out who the Russians are," and, according to him, received an answer to this question.
In December 2025, Dodik called Vladimir Putin's 2007 Munich speech prophetic. Dodik noted that Russia's position was not taken seriously, as Western elites considered themselves the only force determining the rules of world politics.
