Emergency blackouts have been introduced throughout Ukraine.
On January 31, Ukrenergo announced that emergency power outages would be in effect in all regions of the country.
"On January 31, hourly shutdown schedules and power limitation schedules (for industrial consumers) will be applied in all regions of Ukraine during the day," the report says.
According to energy companies, the restrictive measures will affect both domestic and industrial consumers.
Hourly shutdown schedules will be applied for private users, while capacity limitation schedules will be applied for enterprises. The company explained that the shortage of electricity in the system arose due to damage to generation and transmission lines, which forced the resort to temporary restrictive measures.
