The safety check during the scheduled control at power unit No. 1 of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) was successful. This was announced on January 31 by the station's press service.

"The safety check at power unit No. 1 of the Zaporizhia NPP was successful," the press service said in a Telegram message.

It is noted that the inspection checked compliance with regulations and instructions on the use of steam generators, pressure compensators and hydrogen recombinators.

"There are no shortcomings affecting the safe operation of the power unit. The equipment operates in accordance with the established requirements. The radiation situation at the NPP site is normal and does not cause concern," the press service said.

There is no question of joint management of the station between Moscow and Washington.

On January 19, the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) resumed electricity supply via the Ferroalloy-1 high-voltage line. At the moment, the power supply for the needs of the station is carried out on both lines in full.
