US President Donald Trump said he had attracted about $18 trillion in investments during his year in office, which is 18 times higher than his predecessor Joe Biden. He wrote about this in his column for The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on January 30.

"Joe Biden, according to his own calculations, has received less than $1 trillion in new investments in the United States in four years. In less than a year, we have achieved commitments of more than $18 trillion," he wrote.

According to Trump, he successfully used the duties to provide the United States with a volume of investment that no other country had previously dealt with.

Trump, in an interview with Fox News on January 27, said that import duties had already allowed the United States to receive $600 billion. The head of the White House noted that the decision to impose tariffs on other countries has become "indispensable" for success.
