In 2026, about 180 cameras are planned to be installed on the roads of the Murmansk Region to record traffic violations. This was reported on January 30 by the Bi-port news agency with reference to the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The cameras will be installed in various settlements of the region, including Murmansk. Also, fixation complexes will appear on roads of federal and regional significance.

The news agency notes that at the end of last year, a contractor was selected to maintain 110 fixation complexes in the Murmansk region. The work in the period from December 2025 to November 2027 will be carried out by the local LLC Solidnet-M. The cost of the contract with the company was 75.4 million rubles.

On January 29, it was reported that cameras in Moscow had learned how to record the movement of scooters and bicycles in lanes designed for cars, which is prohibited by traffic regulations and creates danger.
