In the city of Bodaibo, Irkutsk region, more than 1.3 thousand people were left without water supply and heat. This was announced on January 30 by the governor of the region Igor Kobzev.

"A critical situation has developed in Bodaibo — due to the freezing of the water pipeline due to low temperatures, the work of four boiler houses has been stopped," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, the accident affected 1.3 thousand people living in 141 houses. Secondary school No. 3 and a special correctional school also found themselves without heat and water. A high-alert regime has been introduced in the territory of the Bodaibinsk municipality.

Kobzev added that all available forces have been involved to eliminate the consequences, including special equipment from a local gold mining company and units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Two temporary accommodation facilities have been set up for the affected residents.

As a result of the collapse of five power transmission line poles in the Murmansk Region on January 24, an emergency regime was introduced in the region due to the protracted nature of the accident. On January 27, it was reported that the power supply in Murmansk was fully restored after a recent accident.

On January 26, the Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, announced that all key facilities and strategic enterprises in the region are provided with electricity. He also stressed the need to increase investments in network infrastructure after the incident with the collapse of power lines in the region.
