The West rejected Zelensky's accusations of disrupting air defense supplies
The accusations of the Europeans that they did not ensure the air defense of Ukraine, expressed by President Vladimir Zelensky, are not true. This was reported on January 30 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper, citing sources.
Zelensky's statement is incorrect, two Western officials informed the publication about the activities of the PURL initiative (English — Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List, List of priority requirements of Ukraine), refusing to provide details.
Earlier that day, Zelensky said that Ukraine had not received another batch of missiles for Patriot systems from the United States due to the fact that European countries had not paid for the delivery. He explained that the missiles were not delivered on time because Europe had not made payments under the PURL program on time.
