Izvestia became the most quoted print publication in Russia in 2025

By the end of 2025, Izvestia newspaper has once again confirmed its status as the leader among the print media in Russia. This is evidenced by the data of the Medialogia company.

The citation index (CI) of the publication over the past year, by a significant margin from competitors, amounted to 27,773.86. The newspaper Kommersant is in second place (CI — 20,719.59), and Vedomosti is in third (CI — 9,062.86).

In addition, Izvestia became the second in the ranking in terms of citations in social media. The publication's CI for 2025 was 5,318,306.

The most quoted materials of the year were reports of the deaths of Izvestia correspondents Alexander Martemyanov and Alexander Fedorchak in the area of the SVO. Izvestia also reported on plans to double the fee for obtaining a driver's license in Russia.

When calculating the rating, Russian federal media were taken into account, as well as online resources covering federal and regional events.
