In 2026, the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events, a subordinate organization of the Moscow Department of Culture, will present seventeen curated exhibitions dedicated to significant historical events and personalities on the central streets of the city.

A project dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Moscow Concert will open a series of exhibitions, which will tell the story of the formation of one of the oldest cultural organizations in Moscow and Russia. This year's projects include an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of composer Alexander Zatsepin, the 145th anniversary of the birth of ballerina Anna Pavlova, the 110th anniversary of the birth of Oleg Lundstrom, and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Galina Vishnevskaya.

The themes of historical memory will not be ignored either. Exhibitions dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of Soviet commander, Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov and Russian military commander, Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky are waiting for the audience.

An exhibition dedicated to children's poets Agnia Barto and Emma Moshkovskaya is planned for Children's Day, an exhibition dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Faina Ranevskaya is waiting for Muscovites on Cinema Day, and an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the writing of the legendary book "Moscow and Muscovites" by Vladimir Gilyarovsky will be presented to the townspeople on City Day.

A series of exhibitions dedicated to the art of cinema will be prepared for the Night of the Arts: the Film Music project will tell about the works of great film composers Mikael Tariverdiyev and Arno Babajanyan, and favorite Soviet film actors, Evgeny Leonov and Yevgeny Evstigneev. In addition to curated exhibitions, projects from other Moscow institutions and metropolitan departments will be presented at street stands.

For more than ten years, street photography exhibitions have been very popular among the audience. Each project is unique, created taking into account the open format, designed for the widest possible audience. Last year alone, 7.3 million people visited the outdoor exhibitions at the stands of the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events throughout the city.

Projects are created taking into account the factor of absolute openness — exhibition spaces on the streets of Moscow are open around the clock and accessible to all pedestrians from an early age, therefore, when forming the concept of exhibitions, curators are guided by the interest of the widest possible audience.
