2.6 thousand taxi cars were seized from unscrupulous carriers in Moscow during the year.

The Moscow Highway Inspectorate (MADI) seized more than 2.6 thousand taxi cars from unscrupulous carriers in 2025. The Metropolitan Department of Transport announced this in its Telegram channel on January 30.

The cars were seized on the basis of Article 27.10 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. In total, last year, inspectors checked more than 36 thousand taxi cars.

The Department of Transport reminded that carriers are required to ensure that the driver passes a medical examination, monitor the technical preparation of the car before the start of the working day and allow only those drivers who have passed the certification for knowledge of the city, emergency measures and rules of passenger transportation to drive.

Fines for violations range from 3,000 to 50,000 rubles.

Earlier, on January 16, it was reported that last year bailiffs of the FSSP and inspectors of the MADI arrested 28 cars. The owners of these cars parked under forbidding signs and on lawns, and also accumulated debts on fines totaling more than 6 million rubles.
