Alpine skier Lindsey Vonn was taken off the track by helicopter after falling

American alpine skier Lindsey Vonn was injured during a downhill at the World Cup in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. This was reported on January 30 by the Associated Press.

During the descent in poor visibility conditions, Vonn lost control after jumping, flew off the track and hit the safety net. After receiving medical attention, she was able to get up, but she walked off the track, leaning on sticks and trying not to use her left knee.

She was later evacuated from the mountain by helicopter.
