Anastasia Lebedeva, associate professor of the Department of Dietetics at ROSBIOTECH University, told Izvestia that if harmful foods are completely removed from the diet, most people will notice weight loss and improvement in general well-being within a month.

"It's not worth waiting for a sharp weight loss, because healthy changes occur gradually. The formation of stable eating habits is not a quick result. But such positive changes work for long—term health," Lebedeva emphasized.

The biotechnologist suggests replacing French fries with baked potatoes with paprika and garlic, cooking chicken wings or fillets in the oven without batter, and making homemade burgers based on a whole-grain bun with a baked patty and vegetables.

"Dried figs, dried apricots or dates will help you get rid of sweets. Their advantage is that they do not cause sudden spikes in glucose and give a faster feeling of fullness. Chicory and some roasted cereal drinks can partially replace coffee in taste and aroma," explains the biotechnologist.
