In the Amur region, a gold mining company caused environmental damage estimated at 17.3 million rubles. The signal to the prosecutor's office of the Skovorodinsky district came from the border department of the FSB of the Russian Federation. They told about violations of the gold mining company in the basin of the Burgali stream.
During the inspection, it turned out that the company was dumping wastewater into the stream in excess of the norms of hazardous substances. This caused harm to aquatic biological resources, the environment and local residents.
A presentation was made to the General Director of the company. An administrative case has been initiated under the article "Violation of the rules for the protection of reservoirs, fraught with their depletion, pollution and clogging."
The head of the company was fined 70 thousand rubles. Another supervisor was disciplined. The court upheld the prosecutor's office's claim for damages, PriamurMedia news agency writes.

The prosecutors found that the subsurface user had a license only to search for and evaluate placer gold, but at the same time carried out land work, destroying the fertile soil layer. The area of damage to the forest fund was 400 thousand square meters. m.
