Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on January 30 that US President Donald Trump had indeed appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin to refrain from strikes on Kiev until February 1. He announced this at a briefing on January 30.
"Indeed, President Trump has made a personal request to President Putin to refrain from launching attacks on Kiev for a week, until February 1," Peskov said.
He added that the purpose of this request is to create more favorable conditions for negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
