Avtotor will start production of steam buses
Kaliningrad Automobile Plant Avtotor presented prototypes of sightseeing buses with an unusual design for amusement parks. While they are in the status of prototypes, production is planned to be launched in 2026, the Izvestia correspondent, who visited the enterprise, reports.
One of the buses is decorated in the style of a red steam locomotive and has eight seats. It is equipped with an electric motor and a battery, the power reserve on a single charge is about 80-100 km. The length of the bus is 5200 mm, the wheelbase is 2760 mm. Rear—wheel drive, maximum speed 24 km/h, engine power - 10 hp.
The second model, which has a cartoon tiger on the front, has five doors on each side. It is designed for 14 people and has larger dimensions — 5,650 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,740 mm. The power units of the buses are identical.
As it was reported earlier on this day, the assembly of cars of the Chinese brand Deepal, which is part of the Changan concern, was launched in Russia at the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant.
