Older female presenters "disappear" from the BBC TV channel, while older men remain in the frame, a "noticeable discrepancy" in the number of presenters over the age of 60 was revealed during the audit. This was reported on January 30 by The Guardian newspaper.

"While older men are considered to be gaining more and more authority, older women either have to continue to look younger or develop 'special character traits,'" the article says.

According to the publication, there are almost twice as many men over the age of 60 in the BBC news service as there are women - 31 versus 16, and in the content division, which creates programs, there are almost four times more leading men of this age than women.

Among people over the age of 70, the gap was even more noticeable for men — 57, women — 11.

On September 30, CNN reported that the White House had sent documents to the Senate on the withdrawal of Anthony's candidacy for the post of head of the US Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. It was noted that in his media appearances and publications, Anthony's rhetoric often drifted into conspiracy theories and misogyny.
