The next long weekend will take place from February 21 to 23 inclusive in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day. This was announced on January 30 by Igor Balynin, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Finance at the Finance Faculty of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
"Residents of Russia will have three days off in February from February 21 to February 23," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Yulia Finogenova, Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Finance at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, said on January 29 that the vacation scheduled for February could become unprofitable, since this short month also includes a public holiday on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day.
