The Russian company Lukoil has completed the transfer of assets at Chisinau International Airport to Moldovan ownership. This was announced on Thursday, January 29, on the website of the Moldovan Ministry of Energy.

"The assets belonging to Lukoil on the territory of Chisinau airport have returned to state ownership," the statement said.

It is specified that on Thursday, the Public Property Agency and Chisinau International Airport completed the inventory process and signed acceptance certificates for the oil complex with a subsidiary of Lukoil.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on January 29 that the interests of the Russian company should be respected when concluding a deal between Lukoil and the American investment company Carlyle. He added that Russia considers the sanctions imposed against Lukoil to be illegal and unacceptable, noting that this is the basis of Russia's position.
