A Russian woman was sentenced in absentia to nine years in a penal colony for participating in Aidar

The court sentenced Russian Yulia Tolopa in absentia to nine years in a penal colony for participating in the national battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) "Aidar" (the group is recognized as terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation). This was announced on January 29 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).

The court found that in 2014, Tolopa traveled to the territory of Ukraine and joined the Aidar terrorist battalion. In 2015, she took part in combat operations against the forces of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR).

"The verdict of the court sentenced Tolope in absentia to nine years in prison to be served in a correctional colony of a general regime," the publication says in the Telegram channel.

Also, according to the UK, Tolopa is on the international wanted list.

In the Kemerovo region on January 22, FSB officers detained a Russian who was preparing a terrorist attack on the railway. He also provided information about the region's transport infrastructure facilities on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services. On the same day, the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation published footage of the arrest of a man who was preparing a terrorist attack.
