In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, farmers lost more than a hundred lambs and thirty sheep due to construction debris. A neighbor filled up the territory with waste, the press service of the regional branch of the Popular Front reported on social networks.

The tragedy occurred in the village of Berezovka in the Sukhoi Log microdistrict. Local farm owners shared their grief with activists, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

According to the agrarians, the owner of the agricultural site set up a landfill. The garbage accumulated for two years and not only littered the space, but became a dam that blocked the stream. Because of this, water has flowed into areas that feed about a hundred people.

Farmers complain that now they will have neither meat nor potatoes. There is nowhere to plant plants, as the fields will turn into swamps in the spring. With the arrival of heat, the entire neighborhood will face an environmental disaster due to meltwater that will flow not into the river, but directly into the houses.

Representatives of the Popular Front appealed to the Rosselkhoznadzor with a request to check the actions of the owner of the cluttered site. They also want to force him to liquidate the landfill.

Earlier it was reported that the regional authorities will oblige to eliminate unauthorized landfills if the culprits of their occurrence cannot be identified. This is stated in the draft law prepared with the participation of the Russian Environmental Operator (REO).
