89 schools and two kindergartens have been completely renovated in the Stavropol Territory in four years. During the same period, the renewal of secondary vocational education institutions began, said the head of the region, Vladimir Vladimirov, in his social networks.
The governor took part in a meeting with First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Vladimir Yakushev and Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, writes IA StavropolMedia.
"More than 100,000 children are already studying in modern, comfortable conditions. This work became possible thanks to the decisions of our president (Vladimir Putin — Ed.)," Vladimirov wrote.
According to him, it was the support of the head of state that allowed the launch and scaling up of the educational infrastructure modernization program throughout the country.
In 2026, 43 more schools and seven kindergartens will be renovated in Stavropol. There are also plans to modernize the St. George Technical College of Mechanization, Automation and Control.
Earlier it was reported that starting from September 1, 2026, the bachelor's and master's degree systems will be abolished in Russia. Instead, basic and specialized higher education will be introduced.
