Lavrov said he was ready to continue negotiations with Ukraine in any format.
The negotiating groups of Russia and Ukraine will continue contacts on settlement in any format. This was announced on January 29 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"Our negotiators will continue to communicate in any format, they know their business. When everything is clear, I am sure the press will be informed," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Lavrov also stressed that the political framework for resolving the conflict was outlined by Russian President Vladimir Putin and "remains in force." According to the Russian Foreign Minister, Moscow will evaluate real proposals, and not focus on "public games" and numerous statements from Kiev and Washington.
The day before, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict in Abu Dhabi would continue on February 1. In addition, the Kremlin positively assessed the beginning of direct contacts between Russia and Ukraine. At the same time, Peskov said that the negotiations on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi turned out to be very difficult and sensitive. He also noted that the Russian delegation at the talks regularly receives instructions from Putin.
On the same day, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the special envoy of the American president, Steven Witkoff, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, would not attend a new meeting in the UAE. He did not explain this decision.
