Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on January 29 that there were no attempts by Germany to mediate in the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

"Germany has not made any attempts, and now there is no question of any German mediation during the negotiations," he said, answering a question about German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's statement on the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.
