Avito noted the growing interest of Russians in buying real estate
In December 2025, Avito Real Estate users' interest in secondary market properties increased in 20 of the 41 largest cities in Russia compared to the same month in 2024.
According to the Avito press service, the purchase of housing in Arkhangelsk (+17%), Tomsk, Omsk and Saratov (+9% each), Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk and St. Petersburg (+8%), Kurgan (+7%), Murmansk, Chelyabinsk began to be considered more often. Novorossiysk (+6%), Sochi (+5%) and eight other cities.
Interest in long—term rentals has increased markedly in Tula - by 18% more than in December of the previous year. Apartments were viewed 16% more often in Yekaterinburg, 10% more often in Izhevsk, 9% more often in Krasnodar, 6% more often in Bryansk and Ivanovo, and 3% more often in Perm and Barnaul.
"We see an increase in consumer activity amid expectations for mortgage refinancing in the near future, interest in preferential programs and alternative deals involving the use of secondary housing as capital. Some investors are already reorienting funds from deposits in real estate, and we expect that some owners will also begin to transfer properties from rent to sale. In these conditions, the support of partners is especially important for agents," said Sergey Eremkin, Managing Director of Avito Real Estate's secondary and suburban real estate business.
Against this background, the company has updated its support program for the professional community: agencies, brokers and realtors. They can receive a progressive discount on the placement of real estate. "We hope that the new initiative will give an impetus to the development of the industry and the digitalization of the market during an important period for it," Eremkin stressed.
