Japan has recorded a record number of suicides among schoolchildren
In Japan, in 2025, the number of suicides among elementary, middle and high school students tripled compared to 2024 and became a record since the beginning of observations in 1980. This was reported on January 29 by the Japanese Nikkei newspaper, citing statistics from the country's Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Security.
