A fire in a private house in the village of Khabary in the Altai Territory killed two people. This was reported on January 29 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.

"In the evening, in the district center of Khabary, in Solnechny Lane, a fire broke out in a semi-detached private apartment building. One of the apartments caught fire," the message in the MAX messenger says.

It is specified that the fire was eliminated. The press service added that the fire destroyed the roof, wall and ceiling of the house. 12 firefighters and five pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was a violation of fire safety rules during the installation and operation of the furnace.
