The soldiers of the Sever-V brigade shot down at least four Fierce drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine flying to the Russian Federation

The Sever-V brigade destroyed at least four kamikaze drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the AN-196 "Fierce" model, which were trying to break through to the Rostov region across the border of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR). This was announced on January 29 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The soldiers of the brigade specializing in the fight against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) constantly monitor the movements of enemy UAVs. With the help of powerful lighting devices, they discovered objects that were trying to fly up to the territory of Russia by crossing the border with the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR).

The identified targets, each of which can carry more than 50 kg of TNT, were destroyed by heavy fire. The ministry clarified that Armed Forces fighters usually use such drones to strike energy infrastructure facilities and residential areas bordering the special military operation zone.

It is emphasized that this operation allowed the "North-V" to cause material damage to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since each AN-196 "Fierce" costs more than $ 200 thousand.
