All recruits from the Buran sabotage and reconnaissance detachment of the Volunteer Corps of the Southern Group of Forces must attend tactical training classes, which they will need to master in order to complete combat missions. On January 27, Izvestia showed footage of one of these training sessions.

"Tactical training classes are the first stage that almost all Buran squad recruits go through. Vital skills are acquired here, for example, the ability to hold on to a friend's shoulder, maneuver and provide first aid," said Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov, who visited the training ground.

Behind him, a column of servicemen dressed in camouflage suits and body armor is visible, who are practicing turning and rearranging inside the formation. The task is performed by them with full equipment: the soldiers have a helmet on their head and a machine gun in their hands.

Then the trainees practiced the skill of evacuating wounded colleagues. After that, the group, under the guidance of a mentor commander, completed a training pass prior to the assault. Performing this maneuver, each of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was responsible for certain tasks: the guide was responsible for firing, those located deep in the formation were responsible for support, and the last one was responsible for covering his comrades.

The platoon commander of the Buran sabotage and reconnaissance detachment with the call sign Senya told Izvestia that in order to acquire important skills, representatives of his unit need about a month.

"We not only have firing and tactical medicine, but we also work with a sapper, an engineer, and teach recruits how to remove mines correctly, how to place them correctly," he said in an interview with Kildibekov.

The commander, summing up his story about the training, stressed that the Buran, as a reconnaissance and sabotage unit, faces the task of entering the positions unnoticed and also leaving them unnoticed.

The commander of the Buran reconnaissance platoon with the call sign Miron told Izvestia on January 26 that three scouts of the unit were able to hold their position near Malaya Loknya in the Kursk region, despite an ambush by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). As a result, the Russian military managed to enter the positions abandoned by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Some of them died during a small-arms battle, while several were captured, Miron said.
