Rubio said that the territorial issue in Ukraine has not yet been resolved.

The issue of territorial settlement in the context of the Ukrainian crisis remains unresolved, but differences are gradually decreasing. This was announced on January 28 by US Secretary of State and Assistant to the President for National Security Marco Rubio.

"I think there remains one issue that you are all familiar with, namely the territorial one. <...> I know that active work is underway to try to bring the positions of both sides closer on this issue," he said.

Rubio noted that reaching agreements in this area is still fraught with serious difficulties.

"It's still a bridge that we haven't crossed. It's still a chasm. But at least we managed to narrow down the range of issues to one central one," the Secretary of State said, speaking at a hearing in the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
