A stream of solar wind from the coronal hole has reached the Earth, and it may cause weak magnetic storms in the near future. This was announced on January 28 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"A stream of fast solar wind has arrived at Earth from the coronal hole. <...> Geomagnetic indexes are still in the green zone, but they will almost certainly turn yellow in the near future. Weak storms are likely," the laboratory wrote on its Telegram channel.
