Used diesel cars in Russia have fallen in price over the year

The average price of a diesel car in the Russian secondary market decreased by 8.1% over the year and amounted to 2.13 million rubles. Avito Auto experts told Izvestia about this on January 28.

Among the most popular models, the Volkswagen Tiguan (-20.4%, to 1.75 million rubles), BMW X3 (-14.6%, to 3.2 million rubles), BMW X5 (-12.6%, to 4.1 million rubles), Toyota Hilux (-12.1%, to 2.55 million rubles) and Hyundai Santa Fe (-12%, up to 2.05 million rubles).

Prices also decreased for Audi Q7 (-11.7%, to 3.09 million rubles), BMW X6 (-11.4%, to 4.17 million rubles), Nissan Pathfinder (-11.1%, to 1.2 million rubles), Land Rover Range Rover Sport (-10.9%, to 2.7 million rubles) and Volkswagen Touareg (-10.6%, up to 1.85 million rubles).

Experts said that last year, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Volkswagen and Hyundai cars became the most popular diesel-powered cars in the secondary market among Russians. The most popular diesel cars with mileage were Toyota Land Cruiser, BMW X5, BMW 5 series and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, as well as Volkswagen Touareg, Hyundai Santa Fe, BMW X6, Hyundai Grand Starex, Audi Q7 and BMW 3 Series.

Over the year, the share of diesel cars in the total supply on the secondary market has not changed and amounted to 9.5% last year. The demand for such cars remained almost unchanged compared to 2024, but the models of individual brands began to attract more attention. Thus, demand for Toyota increased by 6%, Mercedes-Benz — by 3.8%, and Land Rover — by 3.5%.

Earlier, on January 23, it became known that the average price of used cars in the SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs) over the past year decreased by 7.6%, to 1.57 million rubles. According to experts, Toyota, BMW, Hyundai, Lada and Nissan cars were the most in demand.
