Record motorcycle sales recorded in Russia
In 2025, just over 51,000 new motorcycles were sold in Russia, which is 19% more than a year earlier. This is a new maximum in the history of the Russian market, with the previous record set in 2024. This was reported on January 28 by the analytical agency Autostat.
Experts attribute the increase in sales of motorcycles to the appearance on the market of new and more affordable Chinese models instead of brands from other countries. In 2025, the share of Chinese motorcycles in sales reached 72.2%. Almost every fifth new motorcycle was sold in Moscow or the Moscow region last year.
Among the brands in the market, Regulmoto is the leader (9,5 thousand units), which corresponds to about 19% of the market. It is followed by Racer (4.3 thousand units), Motoland (4.2 thousand units), Voge (3.4 thousand units) and Kayo (2.4 thousand units). The Indian brand Bajaj also overcame the 2 thousand mark.
In the model rating, the Motoland XF300 motorcycle became the bestseller (3.3 thousand units), ahead of the former leader Racer RC300 (2 thousand units). They are followed by Regulmoto Sport, Voge DS and Regulmoto TE, whose sales also exceeded the mark of 1 thousand copies.
The day before, it was reported that Russians began to sell Chinese cars more often. Last year, 283.1 thousand Chinese brand cars were re-registered in the Russian secondary market. Compared to 2024, this figure increased by 44%, and the share of such cars in the used market increased to 4.5%.
