A festival dedicated to the Day of Russian Science will be held in Troitsk from February 2 to February 25. This was reported in the press service of TiNAO Prefecture.

The program is designed for participants of different ages: scientific experiments and classes have been prepared for children, where they can get acquainted with research equipment, and open lectures for adults. Special attention will be paid to family members of participants in the special military operation.

The events will be held at several venues — the Baitik Information Technology Center, the M.N. Lyalko Trinity Museum and the Trinity House of Scientists. The organizer is the staff of the Council of Deputies with the support of the Troitsk district council.

One of the events will be a visit to the Institute of Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences: the guests will be shown a linear accelerator of hydrogen ions with a length of almost half a kilometer — the installation is called the largest in Eurasia.

At the Pushkov Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism, Ionosphere and Radio Wave Propagation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, participants will be guided through laboratories where the magnetosphere and solar-terrestrial relations are studied, vacuum chambers, complex measuring instruments and a satellite model, as well as a solar magnetism monitoring room will be shown.

The Physical Kunstkamera museum has prepared classes for schoolchildren: pendulums, an "anti-gravity" spinning top, a Newton circle, Lissajous figures and other exhibits will help to understand the laws of physics and optical illusions.

Other events include the Man of Science 2025 Award ceremony (February 6), the mathematical quest "Adventures in the Land of Puzzles" for children over the age of six (February 8), the Science Trail walk (February 14), and a lecture on neutrinos, particles that play a key role in understanding the universe (February 17), a local history talk at the Troitsky Shawl Art Gallery (February 25).

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
