Putin awarded Elena Bulukova the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Elena Bulukova, General Director of the Gorky Moscow Art Academic Theater (Moscow Art Theater), the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. The relevant decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on January 28.

"To award the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation to Elena Nikolaevna Bulukova, General Director of the federal State Budgetary institution Gorky Moscow Academic Art Theater," the document says.

Bulukova is the recipient of the Russian Government's Cultural Award for 2023 for her production of the play "I am Sergei Obraztsov." She was also awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and a Commendation from the President of the Russian Federation. Bulukova has been the General Director of the Gorky Moscow Art Theater since October 29, 2025.

On December 10, Putin awarded the title of Honored Artist to opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov. He is a famous bass player, soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, winner of the State Prize of the Russian Federation and two Grammy Awards. Since December 2024, Abdrazakov has been the artistic director of the Sevastopol State Opera and Ballet Theater.
