Sales of UAZ cars in 2025 fell by a third

In 2025, sales of new UAZ vehicles decreased by a third (-36%) compared to the previous year, with a total of 19.8 thousand vehicles sold. Such data is provided by the analytical agency Autostat on January 28.

UAZ light commercial vehicles (LCV segment) accounted for 55% of the total sales of the Ulyanovsk company. The result was 10.9 thousand units, which is 38% less year-on-year. The remaining share is passenger cars, which sold 8.9 thousand units (-34%).

In the model structure, the most popular cars were the "SGR" ("Loaf") family, sales reached 7.6 thousand units, and the share was more than 38%.

The UAZ Patriot SUV sold 6.1 thousand units. The third place went to the Profi light truck (3.3 thousand units), the fourth to the Pickup truck (2.5 thousand units). The fifth was the Hunter SUV (about 300 cars sold).

Earlier that day, it was reported that the launch of mass production of the Sollers S9 SUV at the site of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) is scheduled for late August — early September. It is known that the Sollers SUV is based on the Chinese JAC T9 pickup truck.
