Drivers have accumulated 9 million rubles of debts on parking fines in Moscow
In 2025, drivers in Moscow accumulated 9 million rubles in debts on fines for unpaid parking. This was announced on January 28 by the Moscow Department of Transport in its Telegram channel.
Over the past year, by decision of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP), tow trucks from Moskovsky Parking moved 66 cars to special parking lots for large debts of their owners.
BMW (seven times), Mercedes-Benz (five times), as well as Audi and Lexus (three times each) cars were most often taken away.
Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport, noted that their owners would be able to pick up the evacuated cars only after the debt was fully repaid.
On January 20, the Metropolitan Department of Transport announced that in 2025, tow trucks from the Moscow Parking Lot moved 2.1 thousand cars without license plates or with fake license plates to special parking lots. BMW cars were most often among such vehicles in special parking lots, 253 cars of this brand were moved during the year.
