Somnologist, Candidate of Medical Sciences Mikhail Poluektov told how it is easier to wake up in winter.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Wednesday, January 28, the specialist noted that the difficulties with getting up in the morning in winter are most often associated with a lack of daylight, so it is important to compensate for it with artificial lighting, for example with the help of lamps. He added that the quality of sleep is of great importance.

According to the expert, to facilitate waking up, it is necessary to sleep at least seven hours, adhere to a stable bedtime and wake—up routine, and ensure a calm transition to sleep - at least an hour before it, avoid excessive activity.

The somnologist emphasized that following these recommendations helps to survive the dark season without harm to well-being and conserve energy. If such measures do not have an effect, the specialist advises to consult a doctor, writes RT.

Sleep therapist Maxim Novikov revealed on January 11 a simple way to get back to sleep after the holidays. According to him, a daily bedtime shift of 15-20 minutes will help in this. 360.ru .
