The weather forecaster named the date of the end of snowfall in Moscow

Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo forecasting center, told us when the snowfall will end in Moscow. In conversation with aif.ru On Wednesday, January 28, the specialist noted that the main snowfall in Moscow will decrease tomorrow.

According to him, on Wednesday, January 28, during the day the air temperature in the capital will be -10...-8 degrees, in the region -13... -8 degrees. The wind is south-easterly and easterly, its speed will be 3-8 m/s.

He also clarified that on the night of Thursday, January 29, heavy snow will pass in places, and the temperature will drop to -13...-11 degrees. The snowfall will decrease in the afternoon, the air will warm up to -12...-10 degrees.

In the Moscow region, -14...-9 degrees is expected on this day, with light, sometimes moderate snow and ice.

On Wednesday afternoon, the snow will continue, the accumulated precipitation for January 27-28 will reach 50% of the January norm, according to 360.ru .

In an interview with RT, the forecaster noted that on Friday the snowfall will decrease, and over the weekend, the townspeople will see another drop in temperature. The prevailing temperature on Saturday afternoon and night is -10...-15 degrees. On Sunday, the temperature drops. It reaches -18...-23 degrees at night in the region, and -12 degrees during the day...-17 degrees.

The day before, Tatiana Pozdnyakova noted that the amount of precipitation at VDNKh on January 27 was 11 mm. This exceeds the record of 1995, when the amount of precipitation was 10.9 mm, according to the Moscow City News Agency. The specialist clarified that in some places the precipitation record has also been broken in the Moscow region — 16 mm fell in 12 hours in New Jerusalem, while the previous record in 1995 was 10.6 mm, writes Moscow 24.

At the same time, Pozdyakova told why snow clouds are not dispersed in Russia. According to her, the dispersal of snow clouds, unlike rain clouds, requires a different technique and significantly higher costs. She stressed that from a financial point of view, such measures are more expensive than repairing networks that are damaged during snowfalls.
