The Tenet car brand commented on the fire at the plant in Kaluga
Representatives of the Tenet automobile brand are investigating the situation at the Kaluga plant where the fire occurred. As the company told Izvestia on January 28, there were no casualties as a result of the incident.
"There was smoke in one of the production workshops, the staff was evacuated in a timely manner, there were no casualties, we are investigating the causes of the situation," the Tenet Rus press service told Izvestia.
Earlier that day, the main directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region reported that a fire had broken out at the site of the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga. The fire occurred in the styrofoam recycling shop. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire area is 300 sq. m.
The AGR Holding automobile plant in Kaluga produces Tenet cars. The brand's lineup includes the compact crossover T4, the mid-size T7, and the flagship T8.
Sergey Tselikov, director of the analytical agency Autostat, assessed the consequences of a fire at an automobile plant in Kaluga. According to him, due to the incident, the structure of the car market may change in the coming months.
