- For the first time, Russia showed the import-substituted Il‑114-300 and SJ-100 abroad.
On January 28, the Russian United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) presented fully import‑substituted SJ‑100 and IL‑114-300 aircraft abroad for the first time at the Wings India 2026 International Aviation Exhibition in Hyderabad.
The SJ‑100 aircraft, presented in the livery of the Indian company HAL, is a narrow—body short-haul airliner created under the import substitution program. It will be a new model in the Superjet family. Deliveries of 12 such airliners are expected in 2026.
The IL‑114‑300 is an upgraded version of the IL‑114 turboprop aircraft. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, the first three passenger aircraft of this model are also planned to be delivered in 2026.
The Wings India International Aviation Exhibition runs from January 28 to January 31.
The airliners arrived in India on Monday. According to Rostec, the flight took place over regions with diverse climatic and geographical conditions and was performed normally.
On January 19, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade showed a fully import-substituted Superjet 100 (SJ-100) short-range aircraft, assembled using serial technology. New headrests are installed on the passenger seats for added comfort. The main panels and shelves of the interior were made by the Kazan company Aviation Interiors, and the chairs were made by the Aerospace Systems Design Bureau near Moscow. It was noted that the aircraft will be presented at the Wings India 2026 international exhibition.
