The introduction of joint maternity leave for some working family members will make it possible to help young mothers without taking unpaid leave. This was announced on January 28 by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Public Chamber's commission on demography, protection of family, children and traditional family values.

"One of the ideas I would like to consider now is to give grandmothers and fathers the opportunity to take parental leave while their mother is still on maternity leave," he told TASS.
